Meet Iram Shaikh-Abbasi, MD

Dr. Iram Shaikh-Abbasi is a board-certified family medicine physician. In 2002, Dr. Shaikh-Abbasi completed her residency in family practice at MCP-Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she also served as chief resident.

After her residency, Dr. Shaikh-Abbasi spent four years in private practice and as a hospitalist in New York before moving to the Chicago area in 2006, where she worked in private group practice in the suburbs of Chicago. Dr. Shaikh-Abbasi ventured out on her own in 2018 when she started her own family medicine practice.

With a focus on preventative medicine, Dr. Shaikh-Abbasi also has a special interest in weight loss medicine and is board certified in obesity medicine.
